Our Mission

Our mission is to provide outstanding Therapy services to the local region. Icon will be recognised as a company who will maintain high professional standards of service, and continue to develop its own service and the broader therapy network.

Our business will be one where continued professional development of staff is actively encouraged and supported to embrace contemporary practice. We will develop collaborative links with other health professionals, suppliers, and community and government organisations.

Deborah Ford has worked for more than 25 years as an Occupational Therapist and Mobility Equipment Specialist in not for profit, community and government organisations.  This involves providing assessment, education and prescription services required to select and support equipment that maximises function, well being and independence.

Prompted by the arrival of the NDIS, Icon H&F now offer services and equipment support directly to the Communities in Far North Queensland.

Deborah has a particular interest in working with children and adults to promote and achieve maximum independence, function, postural support and care through equipment prescription, functional assessment and home modification.
